Emergency Medicine Advanced Practice Provider
HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital is seeking a PRN experienced Emergency Medicine Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our practice in Fort Pierce, Florida, and its Free-Standing Emergency Department in Vero Beach.
Job Description
- Must be board-certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA), American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
- Must have at least 12 months of current and consecutive Emergency Medicine or Urgent Care experience as an APP
- Must have Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Emergency Department Profile
- Level II Trauma Center
- 80,000 annual patient visits in Main ED and 16,000 in pediatric ED
- 42-bed ED including 5 fast-track plus 5 monitored beds
- 3 trauma bays, including 1 pediatric
- 70 hours total of physician coverage (main ED and Peds ED)
- 60 hours of APP coverage
- 26% admission rate
- Comprehensive Stroke facility with bi-plane
- Interventional cardiac cath facility
- Code ice facility with therapeutic hypothermia capability
- Several dedicated ED glide scopes and ultrasound
- 24-hour in-house Hospitalist and Intensivists
