Associate Pathologist

HCA Healthcare Pathology Services and their North Texas Division is seeking an Associate Pathologist to be based at Medical City Arlington in Arlington, TX. HCA Healthcare Pathology Services employs over 200 board certified multispecialty pathologists nationwide and provides professional services to over 100 HCA Healthcare owned hospitals as well as commercial clients. Our physician partners are a key component to our success and we work closely with them to achieve the most favorable patient outcomes.

Job Description

• AP/CP board certification is required
• Sub-specialty preferred
• Proficiency in breast, general surgical pathology, clinical interpretations and must have recent experience performing frozen sections
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to obtain a Texas medical license or have a Texas medical license in good standing

Pathology Volumes/Cases

• The practice consists of three full-time pathologists with PRN for PTO coverage
• Case volumes: 7k annual at Arlington (2500 at North Hills) - the two sites are combined with frozen coverage at North Hills and cases going to Arlington for sign out
  • 13 cases per day

Community Overview

Medical City of Arlington is a 433-bed, acute care hospital in South Arlington serving Arlington, Mansfield, Grand Prairie and beyond. It is a Level II Trauma Center with a dedicated postpartum floor featuring 34 private and peaceful patient rooms and four spacious luxury postpartum suites. The facility includes 33 medical/surgical rooms, 23 labor and delivery rooms, 3 C-section operating rooms, and a 35 Level III neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) with 15 private NICU rooms and two family overnight-stay rooms for NICU patient family members. It is also a GME teaching hospital.
