    About the job

    Neuro Hospitalist

We are expanding our inpatient neurology program and seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Neuro Hospitalist to join our dedicated team. With the addition of a fourth hospitalist, the schedule will move to a true week-on/week-off rotation. This provides excellent work-life balance while offering high earning potential and flexibility throughout the day.

    Job Description

    • Average 7-12 consults per day (with backup neurologists available to help balance workload)
    • Minimal night calls; most dictations and follow-ups can be handled remotely
    • Weekends are lighter, though hospital rounds and consult assignments continue
    • Flexibility during the day for personal commitments, provided consults are completed or assigned

    Compensation

    • Annual income: $350,000 - $400,000+ (consult volume + call stipends)
    • Call stipends: Significant daily stipends paid in addition to consult revenue
    • First-year incentives: Hospitals may cover malpractice, relocation, signing bonus, or offer a guaranteed compensation loan (forgivable with a 3-year commitment), valued at $50,000 - $60,000
    • Additional income opportunities: Providers may also choose to perform outpatient clinic work during off-weeks to supplement earnings.

    Contractor Model

    • Independent contractor structure with monthly billing support and transparent reporting
    • Responsible for own malpractice and health insurance (group plan available)
    • Option to supplement income with outpatient clinic work during off-weeks

    Requirements

    For Experienced Neuro Hospitalists

    • Board Certified in Neurology with 2+ years of inpatient or hospitalist experience
    • Strong skills in EEG interpretation, stroke, and vascular neurology
    • Interest in leadership, mentorship, and quality-improvement opportunities

    For New Residency Graduates

    • MD/DO with completion of an ACGME-accredited Neurology residency
    • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology
    • Comfortable managing stroke cases and reading EEGs
    • Looking for strong mentorship, professional growth, and work-life balance

    Benefits

    • Predictable week-on/week-off schedule with true time off
    • Strong team environment with both experienced colleagues and backup neurologist support
    • Rare night emergencies, allowing you to enjoy evenings and off-weeks without heavy disruption
    • High earning potential from day one, with additional income opportunities if desired
    • Flexibility for both experienced physicians seeking autonomy and new graduates wanting mentorship
