General / Acute Care Surgeon

Join our hospital group as a General / Acute Care Surgeon to cover call starting December 2021. This position involves 4-5 day blocks with 24-hour call, not in-house, focusing on Acute Care Surgery only at a Level II facility.

Job Description

• Provide surgical care in an acute care setting
• Support from Advanced Practice Providers and midlevel staff
• Fellowship training in surgical critical care is not required, but experience in Trauma II is necessary

Requirements

• Must have an active and unrestricted Texas state medical license, DEA, and ATLS certification
• Clean file with no malpractice history; procedure logs are required
