Established for 35 years, our independent private practice of 11 is actively recruiting highly motivated individuals who want to practice high-quality radiology in a large teaching institution. The group covers a 450-bed tertiary referral center, four smaller hospitals, and an imaging center, and is the exclusive provider of radiology services throughout the health system. The main hospital is a tertiary care level 1 trauma center with four residency programs (Family Practice, Internal Medicine, General Surgery, and Emergency Medicine). There are teaching programs in Nursing, Radiology Technology, and Allied Health, as well as a completely new outpatient med/surg center with state-of-the-art equipment including two top-of-the-line CT scanners, 3.0 and 1.5 Tesla open MRI scanners, two CT scanners (a GE 128-slice Revolution and a 40-slice CT), Ultrasound, and an ACR Breast Imaging Center of Excellence.

IR/DX Radiologist: You can expect to spend 60-70% in Interventional Radiology (IR). Dedicated 1:3 IR call (no general call required). Our IR service performs the full gamut of interventional procedures from all bread-and-butter IR procedures to radioembolization, thermal ablation, TIPS, vertebroplasty and kyphoplasty, arterial and venous stenting, and fibroid embolizations. We have a comprehensive varicose vein service, as well as a full IR clinic supported by three PAs. We have two Siemens Artis Zee procedure rooms, one of which is a bi-plane, with a third GE room under construction. For IR, receive a $500k salary and a $100k sign-on bonus.

General Radiologist: Must be proficient in most modalities but essential that you do mammography and/or are very strong with MRI. Radiologists have a 4.5-day work week. Weekends are also required nine times per year (there are two on each weekend: one primary and one backup for overflow). Nighthawk takes over at 8 PM. Salary is $450k with a $50k sign-on bonus.
