Join our team as a CT Technologist at Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, a full-service, non-profit Catholic hospital committed to providing compassionate and holistic person-centered care.
Job Description
- Operate head or body X-ray scanners that create a computer-generated cross-sectional image, commonly called a CAT (Computed Axial Tomography) Scan.
- Perform CT procedures accurately and proficiently with an understanding of protocols for each exam.
- Demonstrate knowledge in the proper use of the PACS and RIS systems in accordance with set protocols and manufacturer recommendations.
- Exhibit a thorough knowledge of computer language and cross-sectional anatomy.
- Practice proper sterile technique and adhere to infection control guidelines.
- Interact efficiently, professionally, and courteously with all contacts.
- Draw up requested medication/contrast media and accurately record the administered amount and time as per the physician's orders.
- Administer contrast media under the direction of a physician and recognize signs of contrast reaction, responding with appropriate action.
- Serve patients of all age groups (Infant through Older Adults as identified in Performance Standards).
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited school of Radiology Technologist is required.
- Experience as a CT Technologist is preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills are required.
- Ability to effectively prioritize work and work under stressful situations is required.
- Florida CRT Radiology license is required.
- ARRT certification is required.
- ARRT (CT) certification is required.
- BLS certification is required.
