Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
HSHS Medical Group is recruiting a BC/BE Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our growing Endocrinology team in Springfield, IL. HSHS Medical Group works in partnership with Hospital Sisters Health System.
Job Description
- Monday - Friday weekly schedule, 4 or 5 day schedule option
- No holidays or weekends
- Well established, growing practice
- Dietician and Diabetic Educator on staff to address all patient needs
- Dedicated support staff to assist with practice flow
- EPIC EMR
Requirements
- Unrestricted Illinois license and DEA prior to start
- Board Certified
- 2+ years of Endocrinology or Diabetic Care as an NP or PA is required

Education Qualifications
- Master's degree in Nursing is required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing PLUS 5 years relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Doctoral degree in Nursing is preferred.
Experience Qualifications
- Experience in management of patients across the care continuum preferred.
Certifications, Licenses and Registrations
- Licensed in the state of practice as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse is required.
- Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services (WDSPS) or Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Board certification from the National Certification Corporation is preferred.
- Controlled Substance license in state of practice is preferred.
- Federal DEA license is preferred.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification is preferred.
