Houston Methodist Specialty Physician Group is seeking a dynamic and experienced Medical Director to lead our adult inpatient unit. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing, innovative department committed to delivering exceptional patient care. The 20-24 bed inpatient unit is supported by a full-time attending physician and nurse practitioner.

Job Description

• Provide direct patient care while supervising psychiatry residents from Baylor College of Medicine and medical students from Texas A&M College of Medicine.
• Encourage research interests, although they are not a requirement for the role.
• Oversee a robust consultation-liaison service and hospital telepsychiatry program that complement our comprehensive care offerings.
• Manage outpatient services including specialized care programs, collaborative care initiatives, and an outpatient program dedicated to supporting Houston Methodist employees and their families.

Requirements

• Experience in leading an adult inpatient psychiatry unit.
• Ability to supervise residents and medical students.
