Medical Director / General Radiologist

We are seeking an experienced Medical Director / General Radiologist to lead our radiology department and deliver high-quality imaging services. This dual role combines clinical expertise with operational leadership, aiming to enhance patient care, team performance, and departmental efficiency.

Job Description

• Oversee radiology operations, staff, and compliance with regulatory standards
• Develop departmental goals, budgets, and policies
• Lead quality improvement and safety initiatives
• Implement new technologies and streamline workflows
• Interpret X-rays, CT, MRI, ultrasound, and fluoroscopy
• Perform image-guided procedures as needed
• Consult with physicians and multidisciplinary teams on complex cases
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting
• Support training and development of staff and junior physicians
• Participate in academic teaching if applicable
• Communicate with referring providers, patients, and leadership teams
• Promote cross-departmental coordination for better patient outcomes

Requirements

• MD or DO, with completed Radiology residency
• Board Certified in Radiology
• Active state medical license
• 5+ years clinical radiology experience, 2+ years in leadership
• Proficiency in all core imaging modalities
• Strong leadership, decision-making, and communication skills
• Familiar with RIS, PACS, and radiology workflows
