Psychiatrist

Seeking a BC Psychiatrist. This position involves a variety of responsibilities including adult inpatient and consultation-liaison psychiatry, supervision of ER evaluations, general adult outpatient clinical services, child psychiatry, adult day treatment, and substance abuse treatment. The psychiatrist will also provide court-ordered forensic evaluations. Call is mandatory, one week every fourth week. The role is based in the hospital approximately 50% of the time, with travel to other facilities within Cattaraugus County, NY, approximately 50% of the time.

Job Description

• Adult inpatient and consultation-liaison psychiatry and supervision of ER evaluations
• General adult outpatient clinical services
• Child psychiatry
• Adult day treatment and substance abuse treatment
• Provide court-ordered forensic evaluations
• Mandatory call, one week every fourth week
• Based in hospital approximately 50% of the time
• Travel to other facilities within Cattaraugus County, NY, approximately 50% of the time

Requirements

• M.D. and license to practice psychiatry in New York
• Board Certification
• Additional training such as an accredited fellowship and knowledge of neuropsychological testing
• Completion of at least a general psychiatry residency program
• H visa acceptable
