Part-Time Child Psychiatrist
Join a dedicated clinical team providing psychiatric care for children and adolescents with intellectual and developmental disabilities at a Texas State Supported Living Center. This part-time opportunity offers a flexible weekday schedule and the ability to make a meaningful impact within a collaborative care environment.
Job Description
- Schedule: On-site, 4 hours per week
- Flexible hours: Monday-Friday between 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Patient population: Children and adolescents with intellectual disabilities
- Team environment: Work alongside an interdisciplinary care team
- Documentation: Electronic health record charting
- Perform psychiatric evaluations and assessments
- Diagnose and treat psychiatric disorders
- Document clinical encounters accurately in the EMR
- Participate in team-based care planning
- Provide oversight and justification of medication use
Requirements
- Licensed (unrestricted) physician in Texas
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
- Current DEA registration
- Active NPI number
- Proficient with electronic medical records
- Must complete required facility and HHSC training
