CT Surgery Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Join our team as a CT Surgery Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Northern Virginia, seeking 7-14 shifts per month starting in September. This position offers a fast-paced environment with 12-hour inpatient day shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM, Monday through Friday.

Job Description

• Coverage need for 7-14 shifts per month starting September, with October as a firm start.
• Weekend call starts at 7 AM on Fridays and ends the following Monday at 7 AM.
• Willingness to work with 2 part-time providers to fill the schedule if necessary.
• Case volume of approximately 4-8 cases per week, assisting with ED consults and daily patient rounding.
• All skills associated with CT Surgery Advanced Practice Provider (APP) are required, including vein harvesting and chest tube placements.
• Patient population is 100% adult and geriatric.

Requirements

• Active and unrestricted Virginia license and DEA are required.
• Active Board Certification is required.
• If Nurse Practitioner, must be an Acute Care NP (Health System cannot credential those without inpatient training; certification is required).
• Facility details include Epic EMR, a 220+ bed facility, and level III trauma designation.
• Will work alongside 2 CT Surgeons, 1 lead PA, 2 integrated RN care managers, 1 clinic RN, and 1 clerical staff member.
