OB/GYN Physician Locums Job in California

Our client in California is seeking an OB/GYN provider who can cover 24-hour call shifts along with clinic and/or surgical procedures on weekdays. This role is ideal for a provider who can handle both call and clinical duties while working within a collaborative team setting that includes CNMs handling most deliveries and physicians primarily managing complex cases and surgical needs.

Job Description

• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (clinic hours)
• Call Coverage: 24-hour call; CNMs take first call, OB/GYNs step in for C-sections and complex deliveries
• Patient Volume: 25-35 patients per day in the clinic
• Procedures: Half-day procedure clinic per week (Colposcopy, IUD placement, Endometrial Biopsies, etc.)
• OR Coverage: Shared OR block every other week
• Delivery Volume: Around 450+ per year
• Support Staff: Medical Assistants, Medical Scribes, LVNs in the office
• Team Composition: 2 physicians, 5 CNMs (wanting to expand)

Requirements

• Specific dates needing coverage: August 8th at 7 AM through August 18th at 7 AM
