OB/GYN Physician

Join our team for a locum tenens opportunity as an OB/GYN Physician in North Carolina. This assignment offers a chance to work with a supportive staff and provide essential care during 24-hour call shifts.

Job Description

• Provider will round on patients and be on-call for emergent C-sections, vaginal deliveries, and any emergent GYN procedures
• Manage a Level I nursery
• Average of 1-3 deliveries per 24 hours
• EMR: Meditech 6.1
• Hospitalist support staff available 24/7, along with Anesthesiology and Radiology support
• Temporary privileges available

Requirements

• Board Certified
• Must be licensed in North Carolina
• DEA certification
• North Carolina Medicaid Credentialed

Procedures

• Routine delivery - vaginal, low forceps
• Complication delivery - C-section, breech, multiple births, abruptions, VBACs
• Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations
• Office/minor gynecology - IUD, Cystoscopy, Colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP, etc.
• Surgical gynecology - Open, Laparoscopic diagnostic/minor only (tubal/chronal ligation, LOA's), Operative/major (ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, extensive LOA's)
• Laser certification
