OBGYN Physician

Join our team for a locums opportunity as an OBGYN Physician in Virginia. This assignment runs from May 1, 2026, to August 31, 2026, and includes both clinic hours and call responsibilities.

Job Description

• Clinic hours from 8 AM to 4 PM
• 24-hour weekday call
• 24-hour weekend call
• Average number of scheduled patients per day: 25-30
• One-on-one clinical staff support per provider (CMA, LPN, and RN)
• Lab and ultrasound onsite
• EMR: Epic
• Practice consists of 90% low-risk pregnancies and 10% high-risk pregnancies
• Around 1-4 GYN surgeries per day depending on case time required

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible
• Must be licensed in Virginia
• ACLS/BLS
• Local candidates only
• Procedures include:
  • Obstetrics: Low risk pregnancy management, FHR interpretation, OB ultrasounds performance and interpretation, Level I/screening ultrasounds
  • Labor and Delivery: Routine vaginal delivery, low forceps, decision-making for C-section, complicated delivery C-section, VBACs, repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations
  • Gynecology: Office/minor gynecology procedures (IUD, cystoscopy, colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP), surgical gynecology (open, laparoscopic diagnostic/minor only tubal ligation, LOAs, chromotubation, operative/major ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy)
