24 Hour Cardiothoracic Surgery Locums Job in Central Alabama
Seeking around 7-10 days per month of coverage to help cover the ED/call schedule while working alongside a newly trained fellowship-trained Cardiothoracic Surgeon that recently joined their team.
Job Description
- Orientation to be scheduled the morning of your first shift
- Coverage needed from:
- Monday, April 6 at 7 AM - Monday, April 13 at 7 AM
- Monday, April 20 at 7 AM - Friday, April 24 at 7 AM
- Friday, May 22 at 7 AM - Tuesday, June 2 at 7 AM
- Monday, June 22 at 7 AM - Monday, July 6 at 7 AM
- Friday, July 24 at 7 AM - Monday, August 3 at 7 AM
Requirements
- Location: One hour from Montgomery, Alabama
- Active Alabama license required - can be licensed in 2 hours if you have IMLC
- Board Certification or true Board Eligibility required
- 24-hour inpatient call coverage only; will be covering the ED
- Current staff: 1 CT Surgeon (covering to allow him to have time off)
- Must be willing to work alongside new surgeon and offer guidance as needed
- Inpatient APP support + first assist
- Level 3 Trauma Center, Cerner EMR
- Approximately 280 CV surgeries annually
