Cardiothoracic Surgeon

Jackson and Coker is assisting a central-east Alabama Health System with arranging full-time 24-hour Cardiothoracic Surgery locum tenens coverage starting ASAP due to unforeseen circumstances. The client will need ongoing coverage through mid-August minimally and are willing to work with several Surgeons to piece the schedule together. All weeks of coverage are needed, ideally starting the week of June 23. Are you available to help this community in need?

Job Description

• Orientation to be scheduled the morning of your first shift
• Seeking 24-hour call coverage starting June 23 week & ongoing
• Willing to consider your specific availability
• Willing to work with multiple CT Surgeons

Requirements

• Location: One hour from Montgomery, Alabama
• Active Alabama license required - can license in 2 hours if you have IMLC
• Board Certification or true Board Eligibility required
• 24-hour inpatient call coverage only; will be covering the ED
• Current staff: 1 CT Surgeon currently, 1 additional being recruited
• Inpatient APP support + first assist
• Level 3 Trauma Center
• Approximately 280 CV surgeries annually
