Transplant Surgery Locums Job in North Carolina

This is a great opportunity with one of our clients in North Carolina. We are contracted with a medical facility in search of a highly skilled Transplant Surgeon to assist with their weekend call coverage needs. Ideal candidates should have fellowship training in transplant surgery, be board certified in general surgery, and have at least 5 years of experience.

Job Description

• Active North Carolina license required
• Board Certification required
• Call coverage: 1 weekend per month Friday 7am to Monday 7am
• Not required to remain on site while on call
• Average patients per day: 8-12 with resident coverage
• Average admissions per day: 0-3
• Average admissions per night: 0-1
• Average surgical cases per month: 10-12 transplants
• Does not respond to codes
• Does not serve as backup in the ER
• BLS, ACLS required from AHA

Requirements

• Fellowship training in transplant surgery
• Board certified in general surgery
• At least 5 years of experience
