Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital (JDCH) is seeking a pediatric epileptologist with expertise in epilepsy surgery to join a comprehensive team of seven child neurologists in the Division of Pediatric Neurology. A full range of pediatric neurology services are offered within the JDCH Neuroscience Center. The neuroscience team is multidisciplinary and includes child neurologists with expertise in multiple subspecialties, pediatric neurosurgeons, and a pediatric neuropsychologist.

Job Description

• Evaluate and treat complex patients
• Evaluate and treat patients in the epilepsy monitoring unit, including those with intracranial recordings
• Interpret and report EEGs, including short and long-term inpatient, outpatient, and ambulatory EEG recordings, as well as EEGs in critically ill patients

Requirements

• BE/BC in neurology with special qualification in pediatric neurology
• BE/BC in epilepsy
• Training in presurgical evaluations and surgical planning within a multidisciplinary epilepsy management team
