    Orthopedic Surgeon

    JR Enterprise is looking for a Provider to work at the Oklahoma City VA Health Care System as an Orthopedic Surgeon delivering high-quality care to our nation's Veterans. This 1099 contractor role offers consistent onsite clinical and surgical volume, predictable scheduling, and the ability to practice full-spectrum general orthopedics including arthroplasty, arthroscopy, and trauma. You'll work alongside a dedicated VA care team while enjoying the flexibility and autonomy of an independent contractor engagement.

    Job Description

    • Provide comprehensive orthopedic care including arthroplasty, trauma/fracture care, arthroscopy, and general orthopedics.
    • Staff outpatient clinics (Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM) and scheduled OR blocks (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM).
    • Perform consults, pre/post care, and inpatient rounding.
    • Participate in a 24/7 call rotation; available by phone within 15 minutes and on-site within 60 minutes.
    • Collaborate with VA staff, residents, and interdisciplinary teams.
    • Complete documentation in the VA's CPRS/VistA EHR.

    Requirements

    • MD or DO with completion of ACGME-accredited Orthopedic Surgery residency.
    • Board Certified or Board Eligible (ABOS).
    • Valid, unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state.
    • Current BLS and ACLS.
    • Minimum 2 years recent experience in:
      • Arthroplasty (hip/knee preferred)
      • Orthopedic trauma/fracture care
    • Eligible for VA credentialing and privileging.
