    Hospitalist Medical Director

    Our hospitalist program presently has 10 daytime physicians and 2 nocturnist physicians, along with APPs. The program operates on a 7 on/7 off model. We have a separate intensivist team here 24/7.

    This position will be approximately 70-75% clinical and 25-30% administrative with dedicated administrative days. It follows a Monday to Friday schedule, offers full benefits, and includes 30 days of paid time off.

    Job Description

    • Oversee the daily operations of the hospitalist program
    • Manage the hospitalist team and ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care
    • Develop and enforce clinical protocols
    • Coordinate with other departments and manage patient flow and resource utilization
    • Participate in quality improvement initiatives
    • Provide direct patient care and mentor staff
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards

    Requirements

    • Medical degree (MD or DO) and board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
    • Current, unrestricted medical license in the state of Florida
    • Experience in hospitalist medicine and healthcare administration
    • Strong leadership, team management, and organizational skills
    • Proficiency in developing and implementing clinical protocols and quality improvement initiatives
    • Excellent patient care, diagnostic, and treatment skills
    • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
    • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements
    • Commitment to continued medical education and professional development
