Job Description

• The Medical Technologist / Medical Laboratory Technician (MT/MLT) is responsible for performing a wide range of laboratory tests and diagnostic procedures that help physicians detect, diagnose, and monitor medical conditions.
• This role plays a vital part in patient care by analyzing blood, tissue, and other bodily specimens using advanced laboratory equipment and established testing methodologies to ensure accurate and timely results.
• Working closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, the Medical Technologist / Medical Laboratory Technician processes and evaluates patient specimens, performs routine and specialized laboratory testing, and ensures the reliability and accuracy of test results.
• The technologist follows strict laboratory protocols and quality control procedures while maintaining compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
• The Medical Technologist / Medical Laboratory Technician also maintains detailed documentation in the laboratory information system, prepares and calibrates laboratory instruments, and assists with troubleshooting equipment or testing issues as needed.
• Through strong attention to detail, technical expertise, and a commitment to quality patient care, this role supports timely diagnoses and effective treatment decisions while helping maintain a safe, efficient, and high-performing laboratory environment.
