Psychiatric APRN / PMHNP
Seeking a full-time Psychiatric APRN / PMHNP to work in our Children's Program. This position provides medical, psychiatric, and nursing care in the management of acute and chronic health problems, and promotes wellness through a variety of preventive and intervention methods. The role involves evaluating, managing, and initiating referrals and consultations in accordance with patient needs pursuant to established clinical protocols and accepted standards of medical care. Telephonic consultation, as well as after-hours and weekend call duty, may be required as needed or assigned. This position will cover a Psychiatric Hospital.
Job Description
- Provides medical, psychiatric, and nursing care in the management of acute and chronic health problems
- Promotes wellness through a variety of preventive and intervention methods
- Evaluates, manages, and initiates referrals and consultations in accordance with patient needs
- Provides telephonic consultation and after-hours and weekend call duty as needed or assigned
Requirements
- Master's in Nursing from an accredited university or college and Florida licensure as a registered nurse, duly certified by the Florida Board of Nursing as an APRN
- For Psychiatric APRN designation, must complete specialty education or training in psychiatry and maintain Certification by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as a Clinical Specialist in Adult Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing
- One year of experience as an ANCC board-certified Psychiatric APRN reporting to a Psychiatrist
- Must maintain current CPR and CPI certifications
