Registered Nurse (RN) Pain Center

Join our team in the Outpatient Pain Management Clinic as a Registered Nurse. This full-time position offers daytime hours and focuses on specialized nursing in pain management and clinical procedures.

Job Description

• Provide direct patient care, including:
  • Patient assessment
  • Developing and implementing care plans
  • Assisting in medical procedures (especially pain interventions)
  • Evaluating patient progress and adjusting care as needed
• Perform clinical tasks, such as:
  • Administer medications or injections
  • Assist with minor surgical or procedural pain treatments
  • Monitor vitals
  • Educate patients on pain management and follow-up care
• Additional tasks may include:
  • Sterile technique tasks:
    • Gowning and gloving
    • Retraction and limb holding during procedures
    • Assisting with patient positioning
    • Assisting with operating room (OR) setup and cleanup
  • Lab-related tasks:
    • Drawing blood or preparing lab specimens (if at community clinics)
  • On-call responsibilities:
    • Be available for call shifts as needed
    • Carry a pager

Requirements

• RN License (ND or Compact state)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• Point-of-care certifications specific to department procedures
