    Total Joint Surgeon

    Join Kaiser Permanente as a Total Joint Surgeon in Salinas, CA. This opportunity allows you to lead the future of health care while developing a total knee and total hip practice in a community nestled between majestic redwood forests and the beach, known for surfing, mountain biking, and hiking.

    Job Description

    • Looking for a BC/BE general orthopaedic surgeon with a special interest in developing a total knee/total hip practice.
    • Proficiency in anterior total hip replacement is a plus.
    • Must be comfortable with fracture care and management of general orthopaedic issues until your practice grows.
    • Revision total joint experience is not necessary, as those patients can be referred to other Total Joint Fellowship trained specialists in our group as necessary.
    • You will be joining our satellite orthopaedic group in Santa Cruz County with some participation in the Central Coast (Salinas and Marina).
    • OR is 1 day per week. Mako robot is available.
    • Currently, there is no need for ER call; however, the candidate must be open to possibly taking general orthopaedic ER call at a local (level 3) community hospital in the future.
    • Hand and trauma cases can be referred to other appropriate partners in San Jose as needed.
    • Our goal is to continue building a core group of orthopaedic providers as we expand our services both in Santa Cruz County and the Central Coast.

    Requirements

    • Board Certification or Eligibility
    • Must be eligible to obtain a CA medical license or be currently licensed to practice within CA

    Compensation Information

    Full-time annual salary range is $582,000 to $600,000 plus additional potential incentives up to $70,830. Reduced schedules with pro-rated compensation may be available. Some incentive opportunities are estimates based on potential premium pay.
