About the job
Otolaryngologist - Rhinology/Skull Base
The Permanente Medical Group, Inc. (TPMG) is actively seeking an Otolaryngologist - Rhinology/Skull Base Physician to join our team in Redwood City, CA.
We are seeking a board-certified/board-eligible otolaryngologist with a strong preference for fellowship training in Rhinology/Skull Base to join our team in Redwood City, CA. You would be joining a group of 6 providers (4 surgeons, 1 clinic MD, 1 PA) with a developed subspecialty rhinology practice in one of two primary neurosurgical hubs within Northern California Kaiser (serving over 4.5 million members).
We are a high-volume sinus/skull base center (with 80-100 anterior skull base cases with neurosurgery per year shared with a group of subspecialists including a senior partner based in Redwood City) as well as a tertiary subspecialty referral practice (sinonasal malignancies, revision FESS, etc).
Participate in a collaborative multidisciplinary team (strong partnership with neurosurgery including 4 anterior skull base surgeons) as well as with allergy/immunology, oculoplastics, and additional support in adjoining facilities for head and neck oncology/reconstructive surgery.
Located in Silicon Valley, our facilities (hospital and MOB) are amongst the newest in TPMG with the latest technology/support. A physician assistant helps in the management of inpatient service. Outpatient care includes the use of Abridge AI scribe/Epic through TPMG.
Professional development opportunities include resident teaching (through the Kaiser Oakland HNS program) as well as research (with support of regional Division of Research) and potential for growth into leadership roles within our medical center. Community service opportunities (Operation Access) are also supported by the group.
Redwood City is located in the heart of the San Francisco Bay Area, midway between San Francisco and San Jose on the Peninsula (neighboring Palo Alto). An old city slogan (on a sign by the hospital) claims Climate Best by Government Test. Enjoy exceptional quality of life with world-class cultural and academic institutions, and abundant outdoor recreation. From hiking in the Santa Cruz Mountains to enjoying the nearby Pacific Coast to exploring the vibrant food, arts, and tech scenes of Silicon Valley, Redwood City provides an ideal setting for both work and life.
