Internal Medicine Physician

Job Description

• Perform Internal Medicine outpatient physician duties and manage patients' needs as described and directed by a supervisor, if applicable.
• Provide medical services or direct patient care services under the terms of this contract, ensuring appropriate and timely medical services in accordance with the standards of care.
• Deliver professional Family Medicine services in direct patient care, including the care of infants, children, adults, and geriatric patients with acute or chronic medical illnesses.
• Review clinical records and adhere to documentation procedures to ensure that records are properly maintained.

Requirements

• Must have an MD/DO degree and be either ABFM certified or eligible.
• Must have a permanent, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a state, District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
• Must have a Federal DEA number.
• Must have current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Life Support (PALS) certifications.
• Must provide immunization documentation.
• Must have never been censured by a medical board or accused of opioid use or misuse, sexual misconduct, or terminated early from a Locums Assignment due to behavior or quality of care concerns.
• Shall be respectful of the local Native American and Alaska Native culture.

Terms

This contract is currently being offered with flexibility to allow for short-term (13 weeks) and long-term (1-year) durations.
