    Job Description

    • Provides direct primary care health services to LCDF patients within the scope of laws and regulations.
    • This position is a school-based position for Organ Mountain High School and Arrowhead Park High School.

    • Must be highly organized with high attention to detail.

    • Knowledge in health management and service delivery.
    • Knowledge of and experience with the poverty level population and lifestyles.
    • Bilingual English/Spanish desirable.
    • Responsive to the needs of the patients.
    • Ability to maintain relationships with patients and resource agencies, including the formulation and implementation of appropriate diagnostic and treatment plans.
    • Must be able to work and problem-solve independently.
    • Cultural competence with the Hispanic population.
    • Basic office procedures relevant to duties contracted for according to primary care.
    • Effective communication and patient education skills.

    Requirements

    • Licensed by the NM Board of Nursing to practice, or eligible for licensure.
    • Board Certification in a primary care specialty.
    • DEA certification.
    • NM Board of Pharmacy certification.
    • Must have a current NM Driver's License and current automobile insurance.
    • Graduate from Nurse Practitioner program.
    • Additional training in Primary Care preferred but not required (e.g., diabetes education, women's health).
