Physician Assistant

We are seeking a Physician Assistant to provide locum coverage in the General Surgery department. This is a hospital-based, OR-focused role supporting a large and collaborative surgical team.

Job Description

• Immediate start coverage until December 31, 2025 (option to stay credentialed PRN afterward)
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts (approx. 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.), 40 hours/week
• Call: None
• Location: Novi & Southfield campuses (Level II Trauma Center)
• Setting: Hospital-based OR with 20+ operating rooms and 3 DaVinci robots
• First-assist at bedside in robotic cases (GYN, urology, general surgery, bariatrics)
• Port placement & closure
• Assist in non-robotic cases as needed
• Discharges, documentation, outpatient prescriptions

Requirements

• NCCPA Board Certification
• Active Michigan License
• BLS & ACLS (AHA)
• 2 to 3 years robotic bedside first-assist experience (GYN, urology, general surgery, bariatrics)
• Cerner EMR experience (preferred)
