    The Lee Health Cancer Institute is a state-of-the-art, 100,000-square-foot outpatient facility and a leader in comprehensive cancer care. We focus on medical, surgical, and radiation oncology and palliative care for all cancer types, managing approximately 8,400 analytic cases annually. Our facility includes a 43-chair chemotherapy infusion center, advanced imaging capabilities, specialty lab services, and a diverse team of healthcare professionals, including nurse navigators, genetic counselors, social workers, dietitians, and financial counselors. Our inpatients are cared for in a 72-bed oncology hospital at the Gulf Coast Medical Center.

    Lee Health is a non-profit organization featuring 16,000 employees and 92 practice locations across Southwest Florida. With a strong referral base and growing patient demand for reconstructive services, our Physician Group consists of 1,200 primary and specialty care providers. Our health system includes four acute care hospitals and two specialty hospitals, providing 1,812 beds. In the Fall 2024 Leapfrog Hospital Safety Survey, we earned an "A" rating.

    Position Summary

    This program aims to establish a premier facility specializing in advanced reconstructive plastic surgery. Ideal candidates will have experience in a comprehensive range of cancer patient services and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including surgical, medical, and radiation oncologists. Candidates will participate in on-call coverage for reconstructive patients. This role offers a mix of surgical cases and ample opportunities for professional growth.     Job Description

    • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive cancer patient services

    Requirements

    • Graduated from an accredited allopathic or osteopathic medical school
    • Completed an ACGME-accredited plastic surgery program and a fellowship in microvascular reconstruction
    • Board-certified or board-eligible in plastic surgery
    • Eligible for medical licensure in Florida
    • Exceptional surgical skills, strong leadership qualities, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills
