Job Description

• Perform various clinical, clerical, and financial job duties assigned within the scope of laboratory services.
• Clinical duties include specimen verification and processing, phlebotomy, sample tracking including crediting and cancellation of laboratory testing, and processing send-out tests.
• Clerical duties include phone reception, printing and distribution of reports, operation of office equipment such as fax machines, copy machines, and printers, in addition to basic computer skills in the laboratory and hospital information systems.
• Financial duties include insurance verification, reviewing patient accounts for proper diagnosis coding, and providing necessary forms (e.g., ABN) and documentation to ensure payment of services.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent or GED required.
• Less than 1 year of experience in Clinical Laboratory required.
• Less than 1 year of experience in Billing/Insurance required.
• Less than 1 year of experience in Phlebotomy required.

Benefits

• Minimum to midpoint pay rate: $20.50 - $24.09 per hour.
• $1,500 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates.
