Join our team at Medical Plaza One in Fort Myers, FL, as a Medical Doctor in the LPG Obstetrics and Gynecology department. This PRN position offers the opportunity to deliver age and specialty-appropriate medical care in a collaborative environment.

Job Description

• Responsible for the delivery of age and specialty-appropriate medical care through assessment, evaluation, diagnosing, recognition and prevention of adverse events, treatment, and follow-up.
• Perform responsibilities in four areas of practice: clinician, teacher, leadership, and professional development.
• Collaborate with colleagues and other professional disciplines to ensure safe, effective, efficient, and value-added patient-centered care, achieving desired patient outcomes.
• Continuously monitor quality patient care through excellence in customer service and performance improvement that demonstrates positive outcomes in patient care.
• Provide leadership in the LPG practice location and throughout Lee Health.
• Possess excellent communication skills with patients, families, caregivers, multidisciplinary team members, medical staff members, and all employees.
• Keep quality and safety in the forefront in the delivery of patient care.
• Participate/support the integrated continuum of care of patients within LH/LPG.

Requirements

• Educational Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited Medical School and Residency; BC/BE.

• Experience

  • Preferred: Experience providing health care in international resource-poor settings; demonstrated teaching and leadership experience with strong leadership potential.

• State of Florida Licensure Requirements

  • Required: Medical Doctor.
  • Currently licensed or eligible in the State of Florida as a Physician.

• Certifications/Registration Requirements

  • Required: BLS (American Heart Association / Basic Life Support), ACLS (American Heart Association / Advanced Cardiac Life Support).
