MD Needed for SNF/LTD

Join our team in Palmyra, PA, where we are seeking a physician for skilled nursing facility and long-term disability care. This position offers the opportunity to work in a supportive environment with expected growth in hours.

Job Description

• Start with 1-2 days per week, with potential growth to a full-time schedule (Monday to Friday) and a 40-hour work week.
• Work hours are from 8 AM to 5 PM.
• Pay is $120 per hour, all-inclusive rate.
• Hard start date is January 4th.
• Locum to permanent position preferred.
• Acute issues for call will rotate every 4-5 weeks; telephone only (discuss treatment or refer to hospital).
• Ability to document on-site or at home; laptop provided; documentation within 24-48 hours maximum.
• Responsible for admissions and re-certifications.
• Serve in a support role for Nurse Practitioners for chronic patients.
• Nurse Practitioners will pre-round; full history and physical exams expected.
• Anticipate seeing 20-25 patients between two sites.
• Due to a new site in PA, staff will be available with the MD onsite for the first week.

Requirements

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine, Family Practice, or Geriatrics.
• PA Medical License required.
• DEA required.
• Clean background for expedited credentialing.

This is an urgent need to facilitate phone interviews/Zoom meetings and credentialing for the January 4th start date.
