MD for SNF/LTD

We are seeking a physician for a skilled nursing facility and long-term care in Palmyra, PA. The locations are only 7 miles apart, providing a convenient work environment.

Job Description

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine, Family Practice, or Geriatrics
• Start with 1-2 days per week, with expected growth leading to a full-time schedule (Monday to Friday); 40-hour work week
• Work hours from 8 AM to 5 PM
• Pay rate of $120 per hour, all-inclusive
• Hard start date of January 4th
• Locum to permanent position preferred
• Rotate call for acute issues every 4-5 weeks; telephone only (discuss treatment or refer to hospital)
• Ability to document on-site or at home; laptop provided; documentation within 24-48 hours maximum
• Responsible for admissions and re-certifications
• Serve in a support role for Nurse Practitioners for chronic patients
• Nurse Practitioners will pre-round; full history and physical exams expected
• Anticipate seeing 20-25 patients between two sites
• Due to the new site in PA, staff will be available with the MD onsite for the first week
• Pennsylvania Medical License required
• DEA required
• Clean background for expedited credentialing
