MD for SNF/LTD

We are seeking a physician for a skilled nursing facility and long-term care in Palmyra, PA. The locations are only 7 miles apart, providing a convenient work environment. This position is open to board-certified or board-eligible internal medicine, family practice, or geriatric medicine physicians.

Job Description

• Start with 1-2 days per week, with expected growth leading to a full-time schedule (Monday to Friday) and a 40-hour work week.
• Work hours are from 8 AM to 5 PM.
• Compensation is $120 per hour, all-inclusive rate.
• Hard start date is January 4th.
• Preference for locum to permanent candidates.
• Acute issues for call will rotate every 4-5 weeks; call is telephone only (discuss treatment or refer to the hospital).
• Ability to document on-site or at home; a laptop will be provided, with documentation required within 24-48 hours maximum.
• Responsible for admissions and re-certifications.
• Serve in a support role for nurse practitioners for chronic patients.
• Nurse practitioners will pre-round; full history and physical exams expected.
• Anticipate seeing 20-25 patients between the two sites.
• Due to the new site in PA, staff will be available with the MD onsite for the first week.

Requirements

• PA medical license required.
• DEA required.
• Clean background for expedited credentialing.
