MD for SNF/LTC

We are seeking a physician for skilled nursing facility and long-term care in Danville and Martinsville, Virginia. This position offers the opportunity to work between two sites that are 30 minutes apart.

Job Description

• Physician will see patients between two sites; 30 minutes apart.
• Start upon completion of credentialing.
• Full-time position, Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.
• Locums to permanent preferred.
• Pay is $120/hour, all-inclusive rate.
• MD handles admissions (sign off) and patient recertifications.
• NP pre-rounds; full history and physical for MD.
• Serve in a support role for NP for chronic patients.
• Manage 20-25 patients per day between two locations.
• Handle acute issues for call; rotated every 4-5 weeks (discuss treatment or refer to hospital; no patient visits).
• Laptop provided; document on site or at home within 24-48 hours maximum.

Requirements

• Virginia Medical License required.
• DEA required.
• Clean background for expedited credentialing.
