MD for SNF/LTC

Join our team as a physician for skilled nursing facilities and long-term care in Danville and Martinsville, Virginia. This position offers the opportunity to work between two sites, just 30 minutes apart, with a full-time schedule from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.

Job Description

• See patients at two locations, handling admissions and patient recertifications
• Conduct full history and physical examinations for patients pre-rounded by nurse practitioners
• Serve in a support role for nurse practitioners managing chronic patients
• Manage 20-25 patients per day between the two locations
• Address acute issues on call, with a rotation every 4-5 weeks (discuss treatment or refer to hospital; no patient visits)
• Document patient information on-site or at home within 24-48 hours

Requirements

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine, Family Practice, or Geriatrics
• Virginia Medical License required
• DEA required
• Clean background for expedited credentialing
