Cardiology Physician Assistant

Great PA Cardiology opportunity for supplemental coverage from 6/3 - 6/7/24. Will accept multiple providers. This position involves both inpatient and outpatient general cardiology, non-invasive.

Job Description

• Scheduled hours: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM
• Beeper call: 1-2 night calls per week from 4 PM to 8 AM
• Rounding: Locum will not be providing services in the clinic; will be rounding with a mid-level
• Patient volume: Approximately 30 patients per physician
• Consults: 10-15 per day
• Follow-ups: 25 per day
• Perform transesophageal echocardiograms (TEEs); request privileges and meet the requirements
• Perform TEEs during a Watchman procedure if needed
• Conscious sedation needed for TEE privileges
• Read echocardiograms

Requirements

• Experience in cardiology
• Ability to work with a group of 7 cardiologists and 6 mid-levels
• Support staff available Monday to Friday with at least 3 PAs
