Gastroenterology Locum Tenens Opportunity

Excellent Michigan Gastroenterology opportunity for supplemental coverage starting 4/1/24 or ASAP and ongoing. Need up to 3 full-time locums. Need nights covered with on-call and 15 days a month of inpatient consults.

Job Description

• Inpatient scheduled hours + call shift: 7 a.m. to 7 a.m., 24-hour shifts (including carrying pager at night)

• Schedule: 8-hour on-site hospital coverage, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

• Call shifts needed:

  • May 1, 7 a.m. to May 6, 7 a.m.
  • May 20, 7 a.m. to May 25, 7 a.m.
  • June 7, 7 a.m. to June 10, 7 a.m.
  • July 22, 7 a.m. to July 25, 7 a.m.
  • August 12, 7 a.m. to August 19, 7 a.m.
  • August 26, 7 a.m. to September 2, 7 a.m.
  • September 23, 7 a.m. to September 30, 7 a.m.
  • October 7, 7 a.m. to October 14, 7 a.m.
  • October 21, 7 a.m. to October 28, 7 a.m.
  • November 4, 7 a.m. to November 15, 7 a.m.
  • November 25, 7 a.m. to December 9, 7 a.m.
  • December 16, 7 a.m. to January 1, 7 a.m.

• PPS: 20-22: 5 follow-ups, 10-12 new patients, 2-4 procedures

• Locum to supplement GI call coverage, inpatient consults, ED and scheduled procedures

• Required procedures: Colonoscopy, Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS)

• Required types of upper GI Endoscopy: Diagnostic, Therapeutic with Biopsy, with Foreign Body Removal

• Locum will have APP support

• Group: 1 Physician

• Trauma Level I Facility

• On-site lab and X-ray

• Orientation prior to start is required

• EMR: EPIC

• Expenses covered, weekly pay and occurrence form malpractice insurance provided
