OB/GYN Opportunity

Excellent MO OB/GYN opportunity for extra volume coverage from 5/13 - 5/16/24 and ongoing. One provider requested but will accept multiple providers.

Job Description

• Inpatient and outpatient responsibilities
• Call only
• Schedule: 1 weekend per month to start
• Shift: weekdays 7 PM - 7 AM; weekends 12-24 hour shifts
• Weekday mornings, providers would round on their own patients
• Weekends max would be - Saturday and Sunday mornings, only the call physician rounds on all patients
• Beeper/phone call, but our current Laborist usually stays in-house at night, and there is a call room in the L&D area
• This would also involve covering the ER, and might result in an occasional D&C, management of ectopic, emergent GYN surgery, GYN re-admit, though this is not a frequent occurrence

Requirements

• Call response time: 20 minutes
• Call ratio: 1:4
• Call back percentage: 50%
• Average call per 24 hours: Patients seen: 10, Admissions: 5
• Average number of deliveries per year: 1,500
• Support staff: 12 RNs
• EMR: EPIC
