Hematology/Oncology Physician

Excellent opportunity for a Hematology/Oncology physician for vacancy/permanent search coverage starting 8/14/23 or ASAP and ongoing. Multiple providers will be accepted. The position requires a provider to cover 2 weeks per month.

Job Description

• Inpatient and outpatient responsibilities
• Scheduled clinical hours: Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 5 PM, with one week per month in the hospital on-call
• Call: 24-hour on-call coverage, 1-2 weekends per month, beeper with some consultation
• Call response time: 15 minutes
• Call back: 1-8 consults per 24 hours
• Primarily Hematology patients
• Patient volume: 15-18 patients per shift
• Procedures include consults, follow-ups, and possible bone marrow biopsies
• No rounding required; patients are admitted to the Hospitalist service
• Clinic staff includes 2 full-time physicians and 2 full-time advanced practice providers
• Facility equipped with the latest in cancer technology and treatments
• EMR: EPIC
