Primary Care Physician

Locums, Inc. has a Primary Care practice in the Macon, GA area who is seeking a full-time locums Primary Care Physician for two months coverage. The physician will be treating diabetes, colds/flu, COPD, asthma/sinus issues, drug screens, immunizations/vaccines, sutures, physicals, and pain management. Lodging and car rental are available to out-of-area providers.

Job Description

• Hourly compensation
• Malpractice coverage at 1mil/3mil
• Duration: ASAP to about 5/6/22
• Hours: M-Th, 8am to 5pm; Fridays 8am to 2pm; Lunch is 12pm-1pm
• EMR charting used (eClinicalWorks)
• 3-4 patients seen per hour
• Fast-paced, smaller office
• No on-call hours
• Roughly 75% insured and 25% Medicare payor mix
• Clinic located in downtown Macon, GA
• Roughly 10% of patients are pain management; patients are urine screened and PDMP file is updated to prevent drug shopping
• Medical assistants on staff

Requirements

• Active and unrestricted Georgia Physician license (mandatory)
• Valid and unrestricted DEA license (mandatory)
• Must be comfortable being the only provider on-site during hours
