Inpatient Neurohospitalist

Lucid Staffing Solutions is working with a medical center looking for a locum Inpatient Neurohospitalist starting October 2023!

Job Description

• Schedule: 7 on/7 off from October 11 to November 14
• Ongoing coverage with 7 shifts on from 07:00 to 19:30, Monday to Friday, with weekend shifts as needed for patient care, usually an 8-10 hour day
• Call on Saturday and Sunday overnight for inpatient and unclaimed ED only; no stroke overnight as covered by telestroke contract and not NH
• Coverage starts on October 11 and will rotate every other week
• The provider will take call from Saturday morning through Monday morning and is responsible for all stroke alerts from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday
• Locum will also cover stroke activations during their shift from 07:00 to 19:00

Requirements

• Patient population for required coverage: Adult, ED, TSE Stroke
• Average number of patients per day (inpatient): 8-15
• Number of ICU beds: 18
• Documentation system/EMR: Epic
• Trauma level/designation (hospital): Level II and Stroke Comprehensive
• Required neurology procedures: Diagnostic/Therapeutic Taps, Lumbar Puncture, Thrombolytic Therapy, EEG, Evoked Potentials, Disability Evaluation, Dysphagia Screening
