Pulmonary Critical Care Locums Coverage

We are in need of Pulmonary Critical Care locums coverage in July! This position involves rounding in ICUs (CVICU, MICU, and CCU) and managing critically ill patients, including ventilator management and shock management.

Job Description

• Dates of coverage: July 7-9
• Work hours: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday to Sunday
• Take phone calls from 5 p.m. to 8 a.m. remotely, with the rare need to return to the hospital
• CV surgery support available 24/7 with ECMO management handled by them
• Required procedures: Bronchoscopy
• Support staff includes weekday APRN support in CVICU, MICU, and CCU, and weekend APRN support for CVICU
• Reason for coverage: currently short one physician and in the process of recruiting full-time positions
• FTE: Locum Tenens coverage one week per month in June, July, and August
• EMR: Cerner
• No direct admissions on the service; consulting work only
• Anticipated census: approximately 20 - 30 patients

Requirements

• Must be able to perform Bronchoscopy
• Must be available to cover the needed dates

Weekend Requirements

• 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. rounding as per job description

On-Call Requirements

• 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 a.m. remotely with the rare need to return to the hospital
