    Job Description

    • Performing duties according to established standards for age groups from adolescence through geriatrics and making sufficient accommodations for individuals with disabilities
    • Supervising and writing orders for all medical procedures and prescribing medical referrals where indicated
    • Overseeing the administration of all medication protocols
    • Working with appropriate staff to ensure that all documentation of care, treatment, and incidents is done in a clear, concise, and timely manner
    • Dictating patient care notes and complying with all medical record requirements
    • Overseeing the Department of Endocrinology across Luminis Health (Prince George's County, Anne Arundel County, Talbot County, and Queen Anne's County)

    Requirements

    • Graduate of an accredited school of medicine (Doctor degree)
    • Completion of residency in specified field of specialty
    • Board certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Specialty board certified or board-eligible in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism by the American Board of Internal Medicine
    • Possess current and unrestricted license to practice medicine in Maryland (DEA license)
