Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP)
MaineHealth Maine Medical Center is recruiting for an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) to join our Critical Care team in beautiful Portland, Maine. The ACNP will perform daily rounds on patients with a team of fellows, residents, and students, as well as development and implementation of care plans, ordering and interpreting diagnostic studies, procedures, admissions, discharges, and family meetings. This is a dynamic setting that is growing and evolving. The ACNP will participate in research and quality initiatives for Neuro Critical Care and Surgical Critical Care patients. The program has multiple opportunities for learners including Neuro Critical Care rounds twice weekly, monthly cerebrovascular rounds, critical care grand rounds, as well as teaching rounds and multiple lectures. A desire to be a lifelong learner, teacher, and part of an interdisciplinary care team is required.

Job Description

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred
- Successful completion of accredited Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program
- Postgraduate training program in critical care or related specialty or equivalent experience is a must
- Current license issued by the State of Maine or eligible for licensure
- Current BLS certification
