Psychiatric Physician Associate/Physician Assistant

MaineHealth Behavioral Health is recruiting for a Psychiatric Physician Associate/Physician Assistant (PPA) to work in our Life Span position at Spring Harbor Hospital. This is a unique role in the hospital with the opportunity to care for the life span of mental health care. The position provides care on all units within Spring Harbor, which is a standalone 100-bed acute care psychiatric hospital, serving both as an academic center as well as the tertiary mental health hospital in the MaineHealth system.

Job Description

• Provide care across all units within Spring Harbor Hospital.
• Work Monday-Friday, 8 AM to 4:30 PM, with weekend call 1-6.

Requirements

• Graduate of PA program.
• Current and valid license by the respective Maine licensing body and appropriate associated board certifications.
• Current DEA registration.
• Meets credentialing criteria defined in Medical Staff By-Laws and associated entity.
• 2 years' experience of acute psychiatric patient care preferred.
