Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant

We are seeking a full-time primary care Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant to work in our practice. The ideal candidate will have clinical primary care experience. This is a 100% outpatient position with office hours from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday. The incoming candidate should be comfortable caring for a geriatric patient population.

Job Description

• Responsible for the delivery of patient care in their area of specialty through the process of assessment, evaluation, diagnosing, recognition and prevention of adverse events, planning, and implementation.
• Performs responsibilities in four areas of practice: clinician, teacher, leadership, and professional development.
• Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure safe, effective, and efficient patient care delivery, and the achievement of desired patient outcomes.
• Continuously monitors quality patient care through excellence in customer service and performance improvement that demonstrate positive outcomes in patient care.
• Provides leadership in the practice location.
• Nurse Practitioners (NP) and Physician Assistants (PA) are required to function consistent with Florida law.
• Provides treatment for less urgent acute conditions as well as manages chronic conditions and provides care coordination.

Requirements

• Graduate from a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program required.
• Preferably 3 years of experience working in a primary care setting.
• State of Florida license requirements.
• Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.
• Managed care, Medicare Advantage & HEDIS coding experience.
