Gastroenterologist

We are hiring for a qualified civilian Gastroenterologist (Gastroenterology MD / DO) Physician to join our team of talented professionals who provide health care services to our veterans and their families at Langley Air Force Base in Hampton, Virginia.

Job Description

• Full-Time position with a schedule of Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 6:00 pm, on-call after hours on weekdays and weekends
• Independent Contractor with a competitive financial package
• Malpractice coverage provided

Requirements

• Degree: Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.)
• Education: Graduate from an accredited medical school in the United States or Canada, with accreditation recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME)
• Certifications: Basic Life Support & ACLS
• Board Certification: American Board of Internal Medicine
• Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice medicine as required in any state
• Experience: Documentation of at least 600 endoscopic procedures with sedation in the previous two years, 5 years of clinical experience after fellowship, and two continuous years of practice in both outpatient and inpatient settings prior to starting

Due to contractual obligations with the DoD, Health Care Workers performing under this contract must either be a U.S. citizen or meet the definitions set by the Department of Homeland Security.
