Primary Care Physician (MD/DO)

Amergis Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) to join the ICE Health Services Corps (IHSC) in Houston, TX. This is a long-term, full-time 1099 contract role within a federal detention facility, offering a unique opportunity to provide direct care and clinical leadership in a mission-driven environment. The physician will serve as the on-site medical authority, collaborating with a team of 7 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), and will be responsible for patient care, chart reviews, and clinical oversight.

Job Description

• Provide direct care to adult and pediatric patients.
• Conduct physical exams, manage chronic and acute conditions, and respond to emergencies.
• Supervise and collaborate with APPs and clinical staff.
• Review and approve referrals, labs, and patient documentation.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff training.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records.
